Board

The establishment of MyBIM began in 2011 and is led by Jessica Mak, the founding chairperson. Other founding members include Dr. Anthony Chong, En. Amir Hamidi, Mr. Venugopal, Ms. Ho Koon Wei, Ms. Anne Laura, Ms. Sariah Ibrahim, En. Marzuki Ong, Mr. Lee Tur Chung, and En. Mohd Adam Mahadi. The founding members of MyBIM are educated Deaf individuals with a diverse range of skills, including linguistic abilities, information and communications technology (ICT), and extensive experience in education, community development, and leadership within the Deaf context and community.

The current board of MyBIM consists of seven members, directly elected by its ordinary members. Board members serve a three-year term and may be re-elected. Due to geographical distances, meetings are conducted at least four times a year via videoconferencing.
