MyBIM was invited to raise awareness and share knowledge about the Deaf community, as well as introduce BIM (Malaysian Sign Language) to university students. These sessions, conducted either through Zoom or in person, fostered a deeper understanding of Deaf culture, promoted inclusivity, and enhanced the students’ appreciation of BIM as the first language for many Deaf individuals in Malaysia.

Through these interactive sessions, participants gained valuable insights into the importance of language accessibility, the unique challenges faced by the Deaf community, and the significant role BIM plays in cognitive and social development. MyBIM also engaged with students in discussions, answered questions, and demonstrated basic BIM, allowing students to build a more direct and meaningful connection with the language and community.
