Fantastic show!
It was a truly fantastic show! The performance depicted how Malaysian history is constructed and taught to young students. The Deaf audience who attended gave feedback such as: “Amazing show,” “Opened my eyes,” “Great props,” “Great technology used during the show,” and “Subtitles helped me understand the show better.” The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and we encourage you to experience the show yourself.

BIM interpreting not needed for this show
For general communication, BIM interpreting services were provided only before and after the show. If BIM interpreting services had been provided during the show, the Deaf audience might have missed most of the performance. Therefore, subtitles made it easier for the Deaf to appreciate the show without focusing on a BIM interpreter standing in front. That makes sense.
We truly appreciate the organiser’s efforts to ensure that the Deaf community had access to subtitles while enjoying the show! For more information, please visit: https://www.klpac.org/shows/a-notional-history/.
